FUJIFILM DEMONSTRATES LATEST INNOVATIONS IN MEDICAL IMAGING TO PULMONOLOGISTS AT CHEST 2013

Wayne, NJ, October 22, 2013 (Booth #648)The Endoscopy Division of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., will introduce its latest innovations providing high-resolution, high-quality medical imaging to pulmonologists at CHEST 2013, the annual meeting of the American College of CHEST Physicians, taking place October 28-30 at McCormick Place West, Chicago, Illinois.

“As we strengthen our position in the pulmonary market, Fujifilm is proud to showcase a new line of bronchoscopes and Sonart, a compact ultrasound system, that will better serve pulmonologists in providing quality patient care and help improve efficiency," said Kurt Cannon, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations, Endoscopy Division, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.

Medical professionals in the fields of pulmonology have recognized performance and high- quality imaging in a compact design as valuable modalities. Sonart is equipped with innovative image processing technology called ZONE Sonography™ and Sound Speed Correction Technology that provide excellent diagnostic capabilities. Compact, yet comprehensive, Sonart brings a new approach to endoscopic ultrasound, easily integrating into a slim endoscopic procedure cart with video processor and light source. The result is a mobile one-cart solution for your endoscopic needs.

For added convenience, the system can be used in conjunction with the EB-530US ultrasound video bronchoscope. With a distal end outer diameter of 6.7mm, the EB-530US scope is designed to improve maneuverability, insertion capability and physician efficiency. Equipped with high-resolution, ultra small Super CCD chip technology, this scope offers bright, vivid high-resolution endoscopic images. Unique design features of the EB-530US include a 10° forward oblique view, dual light guide for even illumination and exceptional bending capability to facilitate targeting of accessories.
